It is pertinent to mention that the Australian batter alleged Hasnain over illegal bowling style during the match between the Oval Invincibles and Southern Brave. It all started after Pakistan’s young pacer took his wicket with a surprise delivery.
On his way back to the pavilion, the Australian replicated Husnain’s bowling action to symbolize that the young pacer has an illegal bowling action. After the incident, many cricketing experts, including Shoaib Akthar, stepped in to support Mohammad Husnain.
While sharing the same video on Twitter, the former pacer wrote, “Shameful Gesture by Marcus Stoinis regarding the bowling action of Mohammad Hasnain during The Hundred 2022. How dare you do such things? Of course, ICC stays quiet about them. No player should be allowed to do such things if someone’s been cleared already.”
It is worth noting that the Match Referee and Stoinis had a long discussion on this issue. However, the Umpire found the Australian batter not guilty, and he successfully fleed ECB’s Disciplinary Charges for this shameful act.
