Shahid Afridi participates in Nets to Practice for KPL 2

Just In: Veteran Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi is ready to show his grace in the upcoming second season of the Kashmir Premier League (KPL). The Former Pakistan Team skipper has returned to training nets to practice for KPL 2.

A video was shared on Twitter, showing Afridi holding a bat in Nets. There was a caption on the video stating, “Shahid Khan Afridi during the practice seasons in the Diamond Cricket Ground Islamabad earlier today.”

Jammu Janbaz has picked up Shahid Afridi in their squad for the KPL 2. It will be the debut season for Janbaz in Kashmir Premier League. However, the legendary cricket will appear in a few of all the matches to avoid any injury.

Afridi announced his retirement from International cricket on 31st May 2018. The 41-year-old all-rounder has also featured in previous seasons of the Pakistan Super League. However, chronic Back pain has raised several questions about his availability for the upcoming editions of PSL.

Kashmir Premier League is a T20 tournament organized under the supervision of the Pakistan Cricket Board. The event recruits many National as well as Local Cricketers in 5-different teams. The 2nd edition of KPL will start on 13th August 2022.

The Finals of KPL 2022 will be played on 26th August 2022 at Muzaffarabad Cricket Stadium. Rawalkot Hawks are the defending champions of this tournament, and they will play their opening match against Jammu Janbaz on August 13.
