Just In: Finally, the deadlock on Amended Central Contract ends between Pakistan Cricket Board and Senior National Cricket Team Players. Pakistan’s star cricketers, including Baber Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Afridi, agree to sign PCB’s Revised Central Contract.

According to details, the top stars signed the amended Central Contract after a few of their conditions were accepted by PCB. However, a few discussions between both parties are excepted in the upcoming days as some conditions of senior players are still not met.

The successful negotiation between PCB and a group of star players ends just before the tour of the Netherlands 2022. However, the next era of discussion would start in the Mid of September as players remain unhappy about some amended clauses in the Central Contract.

Recently, Pakistan Cricket Board announced two separate Central Contracts for White and Red Ball players. The copies of the contract were handed over to players during a training camp in Lahore. Unexpectedly, several athletes didn’t sign the contracts due to various amended clauses.

Many senior players, including Baber Azam, Rizwan, Shaheen Afridi, Shadab Khan, Fakhar Zaman, and Hassan Ali, didn’t sign their contracts as they objected to multiple clauses and demanded revision from Pakistan Cricket Board.

Senior players expressed several reservations about the contract, including the NOC process for appearance in Foreign Cricket Leagues. That led to an impasse between both parties unless PCB showed flexibility to resolve the objections of senior cricketers.

The issue of Granting NOC is a new one for Pakistani cricketers. Recently, PCB refused to issue NOCs for participation in the opening season of the ILT20 League in UAE. However, PCB denied the allegations at first, but the issue became apparent after no Pakistani cricket was added to the first player list of that event.
