Pakistan closes to Qualify for ODI 2023 World Cup

Just In: Pakistan’s victory against the Netherlands in the 1st ODI helped them move to 4th position with 100 points on the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League points table. Green Caps need two more victories to confirm their slot in the next year’s event.

Team Pakistan is having their first-ever tour of the Netherlands, where the touring side is scheduled to play 3-ODI matches before arriving in UAE for participation in Asia Cup 2022. Pakistan won their 1st ODI match against the Dutch team by 16 wickets.

Victory in the 1st ODI match lifted Pakistan to 4th spot on ICC Cricket World Cup Rankings, with two games remaining on their tour.  A sprinkle of more victories in Rotterdam will help Pakistan gain 120 points and confirm their place in the 2023 World Cup, irrespective of the results of their upcoming series against Afghanistan and New Zealand.

The last night’s victory of Pakistan over the Netherlands also helped them surpass New Zealand on the Leaderboard. According to details, English Cricket Team grabs the top position on the table with 125 points, followed by Bangladesh, with 120 points so far.

In the 1st ODI, the whole Pakistani squad excellently performed their assigned duties. Nevertheless, Fakhar Zaman is the real jewel of Pakistan’s Victory Crown. The left-handed batter scored a brilliant Century that helped Pakistan reach a defendable total.
