The green caps have overthrown Afghanistan to restore their name to the third spot on the points table. Pakistan has to chance to reach their best-ever 2nd spot on the list if they manage to take down the Netherlands in the 3rd and last ODI match.
Baber-eleven is just 10-points away from Bangladesh on the 2nd spot and 5-points away from the table-topper, England. However, they have officially qualified for the upcoming Cricket World Cup, irrespective of how their series against New Zealand and Bangladesh pan out.
Pakistan, who won 2nd straight ODI matches against the Netherlands, is now ready to play the 3rd and last match of their tour on 21st August 2022 at Rotterdam. After completing this series, Pakistan will fly to UAE to participate in Asia Cup 2022.
In the 2nd ODI, the Netherlands has exposed to their worst-ever performance. The Dutch side opted to bat 1st and got off a terrible start. After losing three wickets, skilled batter Tom Cooper alongside Bas de Leede rebuilt the innings and took the team total to 186 runs while both batters scored half-centuries.
In return, Pakistan has achieved the required target in the 39th over with 7 wickets remaining. Three Pakistani batters, including Baber Azam, Muhammad Rizwan, and Salman Agha, scored half-centuries before wrapping up the chase.
