Just In: Former Pakistan opener and Captain of Muzaffarabad Tigers, Muhammad Hafeez, insists KPL franchises provide maximum opportunities to Kashmiri Cricketers in the upcoming season of Kashmir Premier League 2.
Talking to the Sports Reporter on the sidelines of training camp, he said, “I am happy to see the talent coming out of the league. Like last year, we will play better cricket in season 2 to claim the title of KPL 2 Champions.”
“This league was of Kashmiris, and we have to give maximum chances to them. Kashmiri boys are learning under the supervision of the best coaches. All the boys got the opportunity to bowl, bat, and field in the practice session. Many of the boys are new, and it is important to guide them,” said, Professor.
The 2nd season of the Kashmir Premier League will start on `13th August 2022, whereas the Final is scheduled on 26th August 2022. Muzaffarabad Cricket Stadium Kashmir will host all the matches of this thrilling cricketing tournament.
KPL 2 opening match is scheduled between the defending champions Rawalakot Hawks vs Jammu Janbaz on 13th August 2022. Rawalakot became the pioneer champions of KPL after defeating Stallions in the Final match by 7 runs.
The current KPL 2 edition features seven cricket franchises from all parts of Kashmir. The participating teams of this event, includes, Muzaffarabad Tigers, Hawks, Jammu Janbaz, Mirpur Royals, Stallions, Kotli Lions, and Overseas Warriors.
