The World Champs have already got their place in semi-finals as they won both their matches played so far in Group B. Unfortunately Pakistan are no more in contention for the semis as they had to suffer two humiliating defeats one after the other.

But the fact remains that sports events that these rivals play are much more than the game for the players as well as the fans all over the globe and they have huge sentiments attached with the results of the game.

Now, India will be looking forward for a big win and go to the top of the table whereas the Pakistanis will be defending their pride and will look to build up on 2-1 series win over India in India lately.

MS Dhoni, the Indian captain, believes that his side hasn’t played any dead game ever. He added that this match would be significant for improving in areas where they desperately want improvement. It was added by Dav Whatmore, Pakistani Coach, that the match is very important for them. For sure it is not going to be the dead rubber and the guys will be willing to put up a great show on Saturday.

So far the Pakistanis have suffered majorly from some poor batting managing only 170 against West Indies. The performance was even poor against South Africa where they managed only 167 even when the opponent’s bowling attack didn’t have their mainstream bowlers Morne Morkel and Dale Steyn.

Only hopes in batting department were Nasir Jamshed and Misbah-ul-Haq who showed some resistance in both the matches. Now the batting will be facing even more pressure and huge responsibility will lie on the shoulders of the in-form bowlers.

Meanwhile, the Indians have justified their top rank in the ODIs as they had two splendid victories over South Africans and West Indians. The batting has been firing all the time for India as they made a huge total of 331-7 when they played the Protease in their first encounter of the tournament and managed a 26 runs victory. Later they restricted West Indians to just 233-9 and then got to the target quite easily courtesy the century from Shikhar dhawan, a handy knock from Rohit Sharma upfront and then a cameo from Dinesh Karthik.

Shikhar Dhawan has been a real star for the Indian side of late as he struck two back-to-back centuries when he smashed South Africans for 114 on just 94 balls and made 102 against West Indies and was still to be beaten. This was third century for the Dehli lad in a row as he was spectacular on his debut in Tests against Australia where he scored 187 of just 174 balls earlier in March.

Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja are also playing handy role in the wins of India and their role in the game against Pakistan can have a huge impact on the result of the game.
